TITAN Greece has an excellent opportunity for a Shift Supervisor at our Cement Plant in Thessaloniki. The position reports to the Production Manager. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of the plant, monitoring all phases of the production process, and coordinating the work of the shift staff to meet production standards, always in accordance with Health, Safety & Environmental Rules.
Main Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the activities of production crews to produce clinker and cement according to quality control specifications and plant production goals.
- Inspect the plant daily to ensure all machinery is working properly and safely; identify production and process problems and troubleshoot with the shift crew or the maintenance department.
- Prioritize, assign, and communicate job duties to employees working on the shift; control the work program as permitted by the department's needs and in accordance with company policies.
- Oversee the work performed by staff and contractors as required for each job, ensuring completion in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop, train, and motivate subordinates or colleagues to ensure a productive work environment and high levels of efficiency and satisfaction.
- Ensure an adequate inventory level of raw materials for clinker and cement production.
- Prepare necessary reports to inform other functions about the shift's performance, including the status of production operations, problems, and adjustments being made to meet production goals.
- Follow operational instructions to keep all equipment running and producing products in specification.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in assigned work areas.
- Always maintain a safe and clean work area; ensure workplace safety through the implementation, adherence, and enforcement of company business standards, as well as safety and development programs; plan, coordinate, and ensure the safe operation of subcontractors.
Candidate Profile:
- TEI Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Relevant supervisory experience, preferably in a rotating shift working program in a plant or industrial environment.
- Experience as a Safety Officer/Auditor will be considered an asset.
- Proficient planning, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work rotating shifts without direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external parties in a collaborative, positive manner.
- Safety-minded and team-oriented attitude.
- Proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Fluent in Greek and English (oral and written).
- Excellent command of MS Office.
- Military obligations fulfilled.
